We approached Ocean Heroes, a charity organisation dedicated to building confidence in the autism community through surfing, with the aim of supporting them in any way we could. As both passionate business owners and parents of a neurodivergent child, their cause resonated deeply with us, and when we heard they were looking to expand to Queensland we embraced the opportunity to make it happen for them. We offered to activate an event in Noosa, our home and a thriving local surf community, bringing the joy of Ocean Heroes to neurodivergent kids and their families in the region. Our Coaching & Mentoring service was pivotal in ensuring the event’s success by guiding Ocean Heroes through strategic planning, community engagement, and event execution.
Motivated by our deep respect for the positive impact Ocean Heroes has on the autism community, we offered ongoing mentorship to support the planning of the Noosa event. We assisted them in refining their event strategy, connecting with local sponsors, and amplifying community involvement for all involved, from the families through to the volunteers. Our hands-on approach ensured that all local community elements were aligned with the Ocean Heroes mission to foster inclusion and confidence through surfing.
our goal was to help ocean heroes establish a strong presence in the community and maximise the impact of their first noosa event.
By aligning their mission with strategic execution, we set the stage for long-term success and growth in Noosa and beyond.
Through ongoing mentorship and fostering connections in our local network, the first Ocean Heroes Noosa event came together seamlessly. The event became a celebration of inclusion, filled with joy and support from the local community. The selflessness of the volunteers, combined with the enthusiasm of the families and genuine support of several local businesses turned the day into an unforgettable experience.
The inaugural Ocean Heroes event in Noosa not only brought smiles to the faces of participants but also built strong connections within the community. Following the success of the first event, Ocean Heroes confirmed another four events for Noosa over the following 12 months, securing council grants and the support of influential business leaders and advocates in the autism space, ensuring ongoing community involvement and growth.
Our Coaching & Mentoring service empowered Ocean Heroes to expand their impact into Queensland, resulting in a transformative community event series that celebrates inclusion and confidence-building for individuals on the autism spectrum as well as a supportive space for families to connect with one another.
"we consider ourselves extremely lucky to work with the team at noosa vibe house. they've provided so many connections and creative ideas for our events, supporting us every step of the way! our growth across queensland can be directly attributed to their contribution” – sam moyle, founder, ocean heroes
The success of this event highlights how strategic coaching and mentoring can turn a vision into a community-driven moment. We are thrilled to continue working with Ocean Heroes as they grow their presence in Noosa, helping them secure sponsorships and further deepen their positive impact in the region.
