There are some events that go above and beyond everyone's expectations, and our live print party for the Noosa Festival of Surfing merch range was one of those events. We were definitely excited for the launch party, but nothing could have prepared us for the incredible turnout and the electric energy that filled the air. Pairing a hands-on screenprinting experience with a full party vibe, this was the perfect way to kick off our merch collection for the Noosa Festival of Surfing — and it didn’t disappoint.
We wanted to make this year’s launch of the NFS merch range something truly special. Instead of your stock standard party, we turned things up a notch by incorporating live screenprinting - bringing the creative process of the merch line to the forefront and allowing people to really dive in with creating their own garments. Screenprinting is an intricate and impressive craft, and for many, it was their first time seeing it up close and personal. For us, this live print party had been a long time in the making, and the Noosa Festival of Surfing was the perfect setting to bring this vision to life.
there’s something so satisfying about customising your own apparel, and seeing everyone light up as they saw their designs come to life was pure magic.
We were highly strategic in our approach to the activation - the designs available on the night featured elements of the official merch range, but in limited edition colours and formats. Not only did this amplify the ‘exclusivity’ of the tees available on the night, it ensured we didn’t detract from sales of the tees from the official merch store during the festival.
The event venue, New York Minute in Noosa Junction, provided the ultimate atmosphere for a night of creativity, good vibes, and community connection. With Mitch and the Ripple Print House team set up on the balcony, DJs spinning inside, and people spilling out onto the street waiting to customise their AS Colour tees, the energy was contagious. We loved seeing how these designs resonated with everyone and experiencing their creativity at play as they jumped on the machine and turned their vision into reality. From the talented print team to the DJs keeping the energy high, everything came together seamlessly. And of course, it wouldn’t have been possible without the ongoing support from the Noosa Festival of Surfing, which provided the perfect backdrop for such a memorable night.
A huge shoutout to Down the Line Productions for capturing the essence of the night through stunning visuals. Great vibes, epic designs, and a community brought together by creativity — this event was everything we could’ve hoped for and more.
